The ideal candidate will have experience and technical expertise required to create conceptual designs and sketches for engineering projects, considering factors such as constraints, safety regulations, and aesthetic appeal. This position may be based remotely (but in or around the greater Madison, WI area), out of our Madison, WI office or a hybrid.

As an Aquatics Designer/Engineer at Ramaker, you will have the ability to develop solutions for clients from concept through completion in a variety of different aquatics projects ranging from hotel pools, outdoor municipal pools, indoor competition pools, waterparks, and more - helping our clients bring their dreams to reality! You will work with an internal team of employee-owners in our aquatics, civil, architectural, MEP, structural, and survey departments, collaborating to deliver the very best to our clients. Concept through completion varies based on project type and could mean services end when Department of Health Approval is obtained or after Construction Administration (CA) services are completed.

Your expertise in developing conceptual designs and sketches that include technical details such as circulation systems, filtration, and lighting while ensuring compliance with safety codes, accessibility standards, and environmental regulations will play an integral part in the success of our collaborative team. To be successful, you should have a team-based mindset, demonstrate excellent communication and relationship building skills, and be prepared to problem solve and make decisions.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field of study with related experience or an Engineering/Architecture/Landscape Architecture Associates Degree with at least 5 years of related work experience. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD and REVIT programs.
